Caitlin was so deeply caring for everyone she came in contact with.  She could instantly sense everyone's emotions and meet them where they were.  It was astonishing to watch how she could read a person and disarm them with her authenticity and kindness.  She had a lightning quick sense of humor that could rise to any situation with any audience.  She loved a good debate on any intense subject.

She loved the rain.  She loved intense, dramatic stories.  She read gigantic books at a young age just to get her hands on a good, dark story. She loved to curl up with a good book on a chilly, rainy day. 

When she was little, she was confident, happy, and outspoken. Many of her teachers in school loved her because she was always attentive, quick to learn, and cared deeply about the well-being of not only the other students, but of the teacher as well.  She would often come home and report personal anecdotes about the teacher's personal life she had gleaned from a passing comment the teacher had made.  Once, when a former teacher from a few years earlier had contracted cancer, she was anxious to go visit her at her house to give her a hug.
